Sheryl Poblete-Lee, O.T.L.
Occupational therapy is a healthcare profession aimed at enabling people to live their lives to the fullest. To occupational therapists, a “full” life means optimal ability to participate in the activities you want and need to do, despite any health or environmental barriers. These everyday activities are what we call “occupations,” and they are the building blocks to good health and independent living.
Sheryl received her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University. With over 30 years in the field, she has become very broad and accomplished in her scope of practice. Sheryl has expanded her skill level in manual therapy, (myofascial release, muscle energy techniques, joint mobilization), vestibular and balance training, fall prevention, hand therapy and splinting, cognitive and memory rehab, arthritis therapy, back pain (body mechanics, core stabilization, core strengthening, ergonomics), shoulder pain, stroke rehab, and sports injuries. Sheryl has a high level of experience and the ability to help people problem solve or use alternate techniques to be independent.
For Sheryl, being an Occupational Therapist puts life into perspective. “ I have an optimistic outlook on the human being and the ability for each individual to reach their potential. I have first hand experience with my own injuries and what ability really means. It’s overcoming what a person cannot do by replacing it with what they can do. “ Sheryl feels rewarded by helping others attain their goals.
Sheryl enjoys surfing, snow skiing, boating, fishing, cycling, dancing, and laughing especially with the two stars in her life, her children. She has a passion for Life and good health and feels blessed that she can help others be the best they can be.
